Imago Dei We are committed to equipping women in prison to unlock and live in their God given potential and identity, to live their preferred futures.

At the heart of Imago Dei Prison Ministry is the desire to see women live out their identity and purpose. We believe that no one should be defined by their past or even their circumstances. God created mankind in his image and gave each of us unique gifts, talents, skills and purpose. There are many circumstances and contributing factors as to why people find themselves in prison. By helping to address these issues during the time spent in custody we believe we are offering real practical solutions and helping prisoners to become healed and whole ready for their release. We want to equip and empower people to live out their potential and not to be defined by their past. This in turn has a knock-on effect on society; community, and family-life, particularly in helping to reduce the re-offending rate.

We have a big challenge...

After a successful 'Hatty' Christmas, where over 750 women in prison received a handknitted hat through Imago Dei, we are once again calling all knitters, new and old, to help us make a difference for women separated from their loved ones this Christmas.

Join us this year as we work together to knit 750 pairs of fingerless gloves to be included in the Christmas gift bags for women in 3 of the prisons we are working in.

See link for all the details: https://app.donorfy.com/form/08ZDO3AHE2/QWGCW

You too can make a difference.

Yes! It's October and we can now officially think about Christmas! 😂🎄🎁🎅

This year we are rallying knitters nationwide to knit 750 gloves for women in prison. Every year Imago Dei gift all the woman in the 3 women's prisons we work in, a Christmas gift bag. This gesture can mean so much to someone who is separated from their loved ones during the festive season, as a reminder they are not alone or forgotten.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming next week on how you can get involved and help us reach this goal!

Grace House is a place to belong while our residents are with us. A place to call 'Home'. We encourage community reintegration through Probation women's centres and signposting to local groups and organisations. We want to walk alongside each other in this journey.

We don't always see every part of a participant's life who we work with in prison. Sometimes, we have no idea what kind of morning she’s had or what she’s already faced that day.

But when we hear how they committed to come to every session, and the impact our course FLOURISH had upon them - then we remember that it is worth it all!

Another room ready for our new resident arriving this week! 🏡🎉

We pray she will settle easily into the rhythm of live outside prison. May she know peace, security and comfort here at Grace House as she begins this new chapter of rebuilding life outside prison. 🙏💚

Huge, heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our 5th annual Women's Justice Conference last week, and made such an event possible.
What a privilege to gather together in one place, all with the shared desire to create positive change for women leaving prison and beyond. We hope everyone left inspired and encouraged in their work to make a difference. We are excited for our next Conference 2027!! - Keep your eyes open for more info coming soon...
