Following the fire on Hospital Road, Retford, firefighters from Retford Fire Station are in the local area today to give the community reassurance and fire safety advice.

Whilst the fire was contained to the immediate building, its location was on a central arterial route meaning emergency services were in attendance at the incident for over 36 hours, with a notable impact on the local community. A road closure also remains in place.

Crews will be visiting nearby properties to check smoke alarm provision and to offer Safe and Well Visits. If you know of someone who could benefit from one of our visits, please complete the online home fire safety check via the link below 👇

Following the incident on Hospital Road, crews from Retford Fire Station will be in the area over the next few days visiting nearby properties offering Safe & Wells visits and fire safety advice.

Following leaflet and informative letter posting on Thursday, Fire crews from Retford will be on Black Hereford Way on the 27th and 28th February, conducting free safe and well visits and checking smoke alarms.

Today Retford Fire Station attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony representing the service to pay our respects.
