Rampton Primary School

Rampton Primary School A small rural primary school for children aged 2 to 11 years old. We have a family feel and there is always lots going on. We know you won't be disappointed.

Rampton Primary is a friendly local village school for girls and boys aged 2 to 11 years rated 'good' with Ofsted. We are passionate about providing enriching and inspiring experiences as part of our curriculum. Our fabulous team aim to empower all our pupils to gain the knowledge and skills they require to succeed and live truly wonderful, fulfilling lives. We have our own pre-school based at the

school and are able to take children from the age of 2 years. We currently offer full days from Monday to Wednesday and morning sessions until 12.15pm on Thursday and Fridays. We intend to extend to 5 full days as soon as we are able. Rampton also offers breakfast and after-school clubs for all children. Our teacher-lead Nursery supports those early milestone developments and a child centred, hugely enriching environment. One strength of our school is the fact that every member of staff knows and can support every single child and every child can approach any member of staff. That's how RPS can provide an individualised and unique experience. You can find out information about our daily activities throughout our Facebook feed but if you would like any further information about the school please visit our website, send us an email or contact us via this page and we will happily answer any questions. Come and have look around if you want to see us in action.

You read this correctly!

To support families with their work and commitments, we will be offering a heavily discounted rate on our wraparound care for pupils in our school.

That's £6 from 7:30 until 4:30 to support getting your children into school and getting to work without the need for a rush to work each morning. Need longer? £3 more will get you up to 5:45pm.

We'll be making this change for September, where we anticipate uptake will be high.

Our nestlings and foundation children love our caterpillar music sessions with Caterpillar Music Gateford. They are fun of music, singing, movement, instruments, props, parachutes and bubbles! Music ignites all areas of child development including language and literacy, physical development and fine and gross motor skills and we are proud to offer it to our youngest pupils.

Before half term, class 3 went for a one-night residential to rand farm park. Whilst there, we took an active part in farm life, including farm jobs such as bottle feeding lambs, mucking out the horses and goats, milking the cow and bottle feeding the lambs. We also learned all about the importance of bees, and made pizza from scratch whilst learning about where all the ingredients come from. There was also plenty of time to play!
We had an absolutely fantastic time and would like to thank the staff for being so friendly, informative and accommodating!

A huge thank you to English Heritage for supporting our recent visit to Gainsborough Old Hall for our Creators Class.

Through their generous bursary scheme, English Heritage funded both our educational workshop and visit to the Hall, as well as the transport to get us there. Without this support, this wonderful experience would not have been possible.

The trip has inspired some fantastic writing from our Year 1 and Year 2 children. They have written information leaflets about the Old Hall, diary entries imagining life as a Tudor spit boy and used conjunctions to write about the medieval kitchen. We are so proud of their hard work and the enthusiasm they are showing throughout our Magnificent Monarchs project.

In the afternoon, we also visited Gainsborough Library, where the children explored books linked to our project and designed their own royal crowns. Thank you to the library team for a wonderful session.

Take a look at some of their amazing work below!
