Our Conservation Drop-In Sessions happen monthly, are free of charge and offer a great chance to get some guidance on undertaking building work on older properties, listed buildings and properties in conservation areas.

This month it will take place on Friday 16 October from 1pm to 3pm in The GATHER Community Space at the Beacon Shopping Centre.

Please note the change of date: Usually the sessons take place on the last Friday of each month. This month it will take place on the 16th to allow the venue to be used for the Poppy Appeal at the end of the month.

Just turn up. There’s no need to pre-book.

Have peace of mind - Get your electric blanket tested ✅

Home Office statistics indicate electric blankets cause around 44 fires in the UK each year. Tragically, there was a fatal fire last year in the East Sussex service area that was thought to be caused by an electric blanket.

There is a free testing service at Eastbourne Fire Station, Whitley Road Bn22 8LA, from 10am to noon on 22 October 2026.

If you are unable to attend, please ask a friend or neighbour to take your blanket for you.
