Eastbourne Crematorium and Cemetery is opening its doors to the community on Wednesday 9 September.

A local resident has won a £250 prize through the Eastbourne Local Lottery, while supporting Eastbourne Education Business Partnership CIO.

The lucky winner said: "Delighted to be supporting the brilliant work of Eastbourne Education Business Partnership CIO with schools and colleges via the weekly Eastbourne Local Lottery and always a nice bonus to receive an occasional win!"

The Eastbourne Local Lottery gives people the chance to support a wide range of local charities and good causes across the town. With tickets costing just £1 per week, 50p from every ticket goes directly to the cause you choose to support.

As well as helping local organisations continue their valuable work, players are entered into weekly draws with a 1 in 50 chance of winning a prize, including the top prize of £25,000.

There is also just 24 hours left to enter the Summer Super Draw, with one lucky supporter set to win a £2,000 luxury holiday.

If you'd like to support a local cause and be in with a chance of winning, make sure you get your tickets before entries close.

One battery + one collection truck = multiple lives put at risk, and thousands of pounds of damages caused.

Throwing that battery in the bin is far from harmless.

Please recycle them safely at supermarket collection points or your nearest battery recycling point.
