For the very first time, our village is taking part in the national Heritage Open Days scheme - a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the places, people and stories that make Bishopstoke so special. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing details of all the scheduled events on Facebook and Instagram, so keep an eye out for what’s coming up. Come along to one of our two River Dipping sessions on Thursday, run by Wessex Rivers Trust. It’s a great opportunity to discover what lives in the river and learn why it’s so important to look after this rare and valuable habitat. Are you part of a local group or charity that could benefit from a Carnival Grant? Applications are now open for this year.

Huge thank-you to Mel who completed a sponsored swim last night and managed to do 2000m in under an hour - that’s well over a mile . Mel has raised £560 for Bishopstoke Carnival community grants. We are deeply grateful to Mel for all the support that we have received this year with putting on the Carnival for 2026 and Mel has gone above and beyond to raise money for our local community. 👏

We thought that you would like to see some pictures of the Bishopstoke Carnival Parade Vehicle entries this year just in case you missed it.

A big thank you to all the owners who brought Vehicles to the parade and who were a big part of such a wonderful day I hope you all enjoyed it.

Here are some great photos of the different entries, well done to Dave and Thomas with their 1935 Austin 12/4 Ascot for winning best vehicle in the parade.
