"Sevenoaks District Council granted full planning permission for a new health and wellbeing centre in Edenbridge, Kent.

Due to a growing population, the health centre is a welcome addition to the local community as the demand for health care is set to outweigh provision by 2024. The centre will comprise a range of services including GP and social prescribing services, community health care and minor surgery."

Unfortunately we are currently experiencing antisocial behaviour, particularly related to motorcycles. If anyone observes antisocial motorbike behaviour, this should be reported on 999 immediately if the member of the public calling thinks that the rider is putting lives in danger (even their own)
Our local officers are doing a number of things to stop this unacceptable behaviour including multiple joint operation days/evenings with local partners and Surrey Police.

The quality is poor, but this image is of the Swan Pub at Marlpit Hill taken around 1900-1910. The beer retailer was a woman, Caroline Brooker and the brewer’s dray had quite a journey over the hill from Westerham, the draymen were reputed to be very thirsty on their arrival! At this time Swan Lane did not have many houses, and Ridgeway and Swan Ridge had not been made and Crown Road was a muddy track without any houses. What memories of the Swan or other pubs in the area do you have?
