📢 The Government has now published its response following the Fostering for the Future consultation and call for evidence, which gathered views from foster carers, fostering professionals, children and young people on the future of fostering in England.
The response forms part of the Government's wider plans to strengthen fostering, increase the number of foster homes available, and improve support for children, young people and foster families. Key themes include recruitment and retention of foster carers, strengthening support networks, improving outcomes for children, and simplifying processes across the fostering system.
We know many FosterTalk members contributed their views, experiences and expertise during the consultation process, helping to shape the future direction of fostering policy.
