Edinburgh Labour Students is one of the biggest and most active political student societies at the University of Edinburgh. We have a proud and illustrious history, with former members including ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the late Robin Cook, and Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland Ian Murray MP. That said, we’re really a group of like-minded friends who enjoy learning from each other, deb
ating, campaigning, and most of all having a laugh. We meet every Thursday for events ranging from our trademark Pint and Policy to our annual club night fundraiser Never Kissed a Tory. We’re renowned for our campaigning abilities whether it be each other’s individual projects or fighting Holyrood and Westminster elections. Whether you’re a committed socialist or a true Blairite, we’re the group you’ll want to find yourself falling into.
