As Scottish Start-Up Month 2026 comes to a close, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved.

Whether you've joined a webinar, attended an event, pledged your support, shared your experiences, or are simply thinking about taking the first steps towards starting a business, thank you for being part of it.

From hundreds of webinar attendees to 120 businesses and organisations pledging their support, Scottish Start-Up Month has shown just how strong, collaborative and encouraging Scotland's start-up community can be.

Meet Stephanie, founder of Curlew Crafts, who is showcasing her products at the West End Fair during this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

For Stephanie, the fair is an opportunity to connect with customers from around the world, grow her audience and network with other local businesses.

“I’ve been impacted recently by the Princes Street fire, presenting challenges to logistics, transport and impacting on footfall at events – so opportunities like these need to be maximised. It’s lovely meeting and speaking with people from all over the world.”

Stephanie has been receiving 1-to-1 support from Business Gateway Edinburgh since June 2025, alongside attending workshops to build her confidence, knowledge and local networks.
