SCOT-PEP

SCOT-PEP Scot-Pep is a sex worker led charity in Scotland fighting for rights for sex workers.

SCOT-PEP Core Values:

We believe that sex work is work, and deserves the same protections as other work sectors

We unequivocally oppose all forms of criminalisation of sex work (including sex workers, clients, management and others related to sex workers)

We call for the decriminalisation of sex work, including the purchase and sale of sex and other activities related to sex work

We affirm th

e right of sex workers to self determination, to organise, unionise, speak out and be heard

OUR LONG TERM GOALS INCLUDE:

Actively campaigning for the full decriminalisation of sex work, sex workers, clients, management and others related to sex workers, within a human rights-based framework

Ensuring that services aimed at, and relevant to, sex workers meaningfully consult sex workers in the commissioning, design and delivery of their services

HOOKERS AGAINST HARDSHIP: Hookers Against Hardship

We are campaigning for government action on the cost of living crisis, alongside Decrim Now, S*x Worker Advocacy and Resistance Movement, English Collective of Prostitutes, Bristol $ex Workers Collective.

S*x workers urgently need an end to benefit sanctions and access to benefits, an end to evictions, rent hikes and fines, amnesty from arrest, and decriminalisation.

Take action with us! 🤝 scot-pep.org.uk/hookersagainsthardship

Workers! available to watch online this week, from . Link in bio

Repost from : Workers! is a film by artist and filmmaker Petra Bauer and SCOT-PEP, a s*x worker led organisation in Scotland. The film is the result of a long-term collaboration titled Nothing About Us Without Us, inspired by feminist film practitioners who emphasise the importance of making films with their subjects, not about them.

A huge thank you to Mercedes Villalba for bringing the testimony of a s*x worker to today’s motion debate in Scottish Parliament. We hope people don’t lose sight of workers’ perspectives as they debate our safety and rights.

Scot Pep is firmly against any further criminalisation of s*x work. People who sell s*x in Scotland are suffering the ongoing impact of criminalisation as well as the impact of lockdowns and Covid. We need rights, safety and justice, not a rebranded Nordic model.
