A key principle of the ethical standards framework is integrity. Those in public life must not place themselves under any financial or other obligation to any individual or organisation that might reasonably be thought to influence them in the performance of their duties.

A key principle of the ethical standards framework is honesty. Those in public life have a duty to act honestly. They must declare any private interests relating to their public duties and take steps to resolve any conflicts arising in a way that protects the public interest.

This includes representing the Council on official business AND when using social media.
