TELL TRUSS TO DO MORE TO END FUEL POVERTY | PROTEST ON 1ST OCTOBER
We've joined with local campaigners and unions to call on the UK Government to abolish and invest in renewables and energy efficiency.
Join us from 12noon on Saturday 1st October at Queen Elizabeth House, Sibbald Walk,
Bills are still rising in October and 40% of families are already struggling to pay for gas and electricity.
We can’t sit back and accept this. Join us in calling for:
- An immediate freeze on energy bills and ensure no household pays more than 10% of their income on energy
- Equalise the costs of unregulated fuels
- End the use of pre-payment cards which carry the most expensive tariffs
- Increase investment in home insulation and retrofitting
- Accelerate diversification from fossil fuels
- Bring all energy industries into public ownership
The Edinburgh End Fuel Poverty Coalition proudly brings together Frazer Scott of Energy Action Scotland and trade unions including the RMT. Please come along and share widely.
