ATU Sc would like to thank all who attended the Partners Dinner Night held in 105 Regt RA WO & Sgts Mess. A great night had by all and a chance to thank all staff and guest instructors for all their hard work over the training year.

ATU Scotland staff recently joined British Army (Regular and Reserve) colleagues from Initial Training Group (ITG) across the UK to further develop physical and mental resilience in challenging mountain conditions at altitudes up to 3000m/9900ft.

Training included, introduction to Alpine Skiing, Ski Mountaineering, avalanche awareness and avalanche rescue procedures.

All participants gained valuable experience in mountain conditions and formal Skiing/Ski Mountaineering qualifications (Ski Foundation levels 1, 2 and 3) which will enable continued progressive training in the future.

ATU Conducted some CPD for the staff over the weekend and grouped together to celebrate the promotion of Section Commander Gary Boag a well deserved celebration. Well done once again Cpl Boag.

Staff at the ATU said farewell to the WO2 Mcalpine as he starts his new journey after completing a staggering 39 year Regular Service. From all of the Staff we wish you and your family all the very best. Many thanks for all your hard work and dedication.

This weekend the HQ and Training company spent the weekend at Dunkeld Cadet Training Centre, conducting a team building exercise. A rare opportunity to get together away from delivering recruit training.this consisted in quad biking and paddle boardering, some better than others. If military swim tests were accessed then WO1 Auchterlonie deserves a gold medal. The water baby of the day!!!!!!! A massive thanks to the CAA Mickey Douglas for allow us to use the Cadet Training Centre.and the ATU QMSI for organising a fantastic weekend. We also said good bye to the CSM, WO2 Taggert and CSgt Gray. We all wish you the very best for the future. A great weekend. Well done troops.
