EVRI UPDATE
We have finally received a delivery and had a collection tonight at 6.30pm. All parcels have now been booked in so hopefully we can get back to some normality. We will be accepting EVri again but please be mindful this may happen again so you may wish to reconsider your Vinted postage options!

NOTICE OF APOLOGY
As a Post Office we do our very best to fulfil all the requirements that are expedited of us to the community. Unfortunately sometimes these service fail - not because we have done something wrong but because we have to rely on others to make our business successful!! In this instance we have been totally failed by Evri. No surprise there I hear you say, but non the less it still makes us look incompetent and customers feel it is our fault. Evri have failed to delivery and collect since last Wednesday which means if you are expecting a parcel or have sent one it has failed, not because we were closed but because they have totally failed to turn up in our allocated opening hours. Today I stayed until 6pm as was told they were on the way after collecting at Oakham. No surprise they didn’t show so I rang our helpline to be told he has reached capacity and unable to collect. As you can imagine this is causing me unnecessary stress and upset as it feels like I am yet again failing our customers. I know it is out of my hands but please be assured it has been escalated to the highest complaint system at the PO and we can only hope that it gets resolved soon. In the meantime please accept my apologises for the inconvenient and please be kind as it really isn’t our fault 😪

A Pied Diamond Dove has been found at the Normanton Fishing Lodge Harbour. It appears to be tame and has probably escaped. It is currently safe if anyone knows who it belongs to. Please message below if you think it might be yours.

We have made the decision to continue with our 1pm Saturday closing. This will now be a permanent closing time for the shop (not just for winter) The decision was made due to rising employment costs, energy bills and more importantly to give our staff and us precious ‘us’ time. We are obviously sorry if this causes any inconvenience but hope you also understand ❤️
