❤️ Celebrating our incredible foster carers during Foster Care Fortnight ❤️

Today we've had the privilege of coming together to celebrate the compassion, patience, resilience and huge-hearted dedication of Moray’s wonderful foster carers.

The Fostering in Moray event recognised carers reaching important milestones in their fostering journeys and reflected on the life-changing difference they and all in our fostering family make for children and young people every single day.

Speaking at the event, Jim Lyon, Chief Social Work Officer and Head of Service, thanked carers for the extraordinary role they play in helping children heal, grow in confidence and feel part of a caring, supportive family environment.

He spoke about the remarkable commitment foster carers show by opening their homes and hearts to children when they need care, stability and protection most.

It was also a very special and emotional moment as we honoured Linda Wakeley’s 30 years of fostering service, alongside her late husband Dave, whose love and dedication touched the lives of more than 150 children and young people across Moray.

We’ll be sharing more of Linda and Dave’s remarkable fostering story later today.

To every foster carer in Moray we want to say a heart-felt thank you. Your care, kindness and commitment continue to change lives every day. 🌻

💖 There are lots of different ways to foster. Could it be for you?
