Welsh Love spoon, now made to order 😉 I've had this idea for a while now, and glad it turned out how my minds eye could see it! Though traditionally carved from wood, I feel it fitting a smith make one from steel. DM if you'd like one for a loved one!

Been a busy start to the year, outside of work, but it was great to get back to it, with this two day class with Rob from the wirral, utilising some damascus I forged a couple years ago, to make a seax inspired kitchen tool (minding metas dislike of this trade, because it has the K word in it!)

Recently I restored this beautiful scrolled table frame circa 1920s, as time and weathering outside had allowed the frame to rust, and over the years become bent out of shape. I cut out the worst parts and made new ones to match. I'm quite pleased with the results, and looking forward to seeing it with it's slate top once more.

Need a tool, make a tool. The beauty of blacksmithing. I have felt like I needed some angled scroll tongs for a while now, here are some work in progress shots of the process. Making tongs is a great blackmithing exercise, as making tongs is easy, but making good tongs takes a bit of finesse, perhaps I'll dig out me first ever set sometime 😅
