When you've volunteered for 22 years, you've helped shape thousands of cadet experiences.

This Volunteer Spotlight is dedicated to WO Barry Seal from 1074 Ellesmere Port Squadron, RAF Air Cadets.

From first parade nights and camps to qualifications, friendships and achievements, Barry has spent over two decades helping young people make memories that last a lifetime. It's that commitment to providing the very best cadet experience that has kept him volunteering year after year.

Thank you, Barry, for 22 years of dedication and for the countless opportunities you've helped create along the way. 💙

Warrant Officer Barry Seal
Sergeant Theo Philip-Holloway
Civilian Instructor Richard Kellett

This week, members of 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron had the privilege of being invited to attend the Mayor making ceremony where two of Ellesmere Ports Cadets were officially named Mayor’s Cadets- one of them being our very own Cadet Corporal Kieron Young alongside Juliette Golightly of T.S. Forward with Ellesmere Port Sea Cadets.

The night consisted of heartfelt speeches and time to socialise after the main ceremony. Overall it was a successful night and one to remember.

Well done to both Mayor’s Cadets and those Cadets and Staff who attended for the standards shown throughout the night.

A busy Thursday night for 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron this week!!

As we had our Annual Formal Inspection on Thursday, we welcomed Wing Commander O’Riley and Sergeant Lockley to see what we do at our Suadron, and showcase a range of activities available here at 1074.

Our night consisted of Cadets and Staff participating in activities such as shooting, leadership, fielcraft, space and First Aid.

Well done to all cadets for an amazing turnout and upholding our uniform standards throughout the night.

On Good Friday, the Easter Bunny, also known as our very own Squadron Adjutant, Warrant Officer Barry Seal, hopped into action and delivered 16 Easter eggs to the Children’s Ward at the Countess of Chester Hospital, just in time for todays special day.

These eggs were kindly donated by the Air Cadets of 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron, making Barry’s basket extra special this year!

A big “thank you” from all our staff goes out to every cadet who contributed to this wonderful cause. And on behalf of the Children’s Ward, a heartfelt “thank you” as well, your kindness will bring smiles to children receiving treatment over the holiday weekend.
