Ellon Castle Gardens Ellon Castle Gardens is a charitable trust run by volunteers to restore the gardens and historical monuments for the local community. Dogs on leads welcome.

Entry fee is £5 for non-members. Membership, opening times, events available via the website. The objects of the Trust are:-
(a) to promote and advance heritage, culture and environmental protection or improvement for the public benefit, in particular (but without limitation) by restoring, maintaining, permanently preserving, and making accessible to the public the Scheduled Ancient Monument which is Ellon Castle Gardens, in order to conserve and facilitate access to a place of historical interest and encourage interest in local history while also encouraging the conservation of the natural environment for the benefit of the local community and the wider public through the promotion of gardening, plant management and conservation works in relation to Ellon Castle Gardens or any other similar gardens which operate in order to advance heritage (“heritage gardens”);
(b) to advance education in relation to heritage gardens, by educating, advising and encouraging members of the public in relation to matters relating to heritage gardens;
(c) to promote heritage gardens at all levels of cultural and educational life in Scotland and elsewhere, and to advance community development by increasing or promoting the involvement of individuals in community activity through the provision or promotion of heritage gardens

What a beautiful day at Ellon Castle Gardens and a great start to the October holidays! We're still open 6 days a week from 10am to 4pm until the end of October (closed Mondays). Then weekends-only in November.
🏃🏼‍♀️ We have lots of fun activities for children including our popular Apple Game.
🍎 Come and buy some delicious heritage apples (cookers and eaters available).
🐝 We also have a limited supply of honey made in the gardens by the Udny Provender bees.
🐾 Dogs on leads are always welcome.

Apple Day is underway at Ellon Castle Gardens today, Sunday 4th October from 10am to 4pm.
We have delicious heritage apples, ch*****ne c***r, and honey from the Udny Provender bees who live here in the gardens. 🍎🍏🍾🥂🐝

Our volunteers have been busy picking, sorting and labelling all our apples ready for our Apple Day on Sunday. We are looking forward to seeing you and will also have our honey and c***r on sale. More reasons to visit Ellon Castle Gardens this week!
Our delicious Worcester Permain apples are now available to buy, along with several other heritage varieties.

And we have North East Open Studios (NEOS) books, so you can plan your tour of over 250 artists' studios. NEOS week starts on Saturday 12th and runs until Sunday 20th September.

The Gardens are open from 10am to 4pm 6 days a week (closed Mondays). Dogs on leads are always welcome.
