Free bicycle health checks

We have some free Dr Bike sessions coming up across East Cambs for you to get involved in.

All events take place from 10am to 4pm:
• Monday 8 June – Isleham
• Wednesday 10 June – Burwell
• Thursday 11 June – Littleport
• Saturday 13 June – Ely
• Monday 15 June – Soham

Fairer and more secure private renting.

Private renting is entering a new chapter. Landlords can no longer evict you without a valid reason. Plus, the rules on rents are now clearer, with no bidding wars and unfair rent rises easier to challenge.

If you need advice, contact us on 01353 665555, or call into our drop-in clinics at the council offices. Open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. You do not need an appointment.

🚨 Scam text warning 🚨

We're asking you to be aware of a scam text that is currently circulating.
The scam claims that the fire service will be in your area carrying out visits, and that if you miss the visit you will be fined.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service does not send out text messages or hand out fines. Any visit from us would be carried out by a member of the Service in uniform and they would have formal identification on them as well as an official fire service vehicle. We would at no point ask for payment.
Please do avoid engaging with suspicious texts and report any concerns to Cambridgeshire Constabulary on 101.

We have now completed our delivery rounds of standard black bins, deliveries to flats and also to residents who receive the alternative collection service.

Any outstanding deliveries to residents, including the larger black wheeled bins, will be completed in time for your next scheduled collection.

If you have not yet received your delivery - and have not already told us - please let us know either via our website: https://eastcambs.gov.uk/services/services/waste-and-recycling/services/services/waste-and-recycling/new-bin-delivery or by calling 01353 665555 and selecting the new waste service option.
