A busy start to the year for us with 31 calls in January! Including 10 calls for our SCAS responder car 🚑, 2 RTCs, 2 property fires and a fire commercial 🚒

At our drill nights this month we also brushed up on our RTC and pumping drills. We also demonstrated our UHPL for one of our new development firefighters

This year, our friends over at Hayling Island Fire Station are taking on the Dragon Grand Fondo – a grueling 215km cycling challenge through the mountains of Wales – to raise vital funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. The firefighters charity do excellent work and provided support to a few of our crew here at Emsworth and Hayling Island.

It's been a busy summer for us at Emsworth, with 48 fire calls and 23 medical calls for our Co-Responder car 🚒🚑. Incidents have ranged from the large commercial fire in Petersfield, RTCs (RTC photo is from a training exercise), supporting the Ambulance and a few fires in the open during the dry spell.

We have also been out in the community over the summer, attending school fayres and training pumping in the Millpond.

Tonight some of our crew paid tribute to our 2 fellow on call firefighters and a member of the public who sadly did not come home from a call in Oxfordshire last week

Firefighters Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler and resident Dave Chester sadly lost their lives at a fire in Bicester last week. Crews had an act of remembrance with a minutes silence at the time of the first call

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who sadly lost their loved ones

We were in attendance at this fire this afternoon, devastating for the owners.

As much as we are all enjoying the warm weather please remember the dangers it can also cause!

🚨Firefighters tackle devastating house fire in Bedhampton, likely caused by a mirror! 🚨

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

This incident is a reminder of the dangers of leaving mirrors in direct sunlight. ☀️

Something different for us on last night's drill night!

As a part of their development folder, one of our dev FF's arranged a familiarisation visit to HMS Daring ⚓️. Should there be an incident we could be called in to support, so it is important crews are aware of the key hazards.

We also welcomed back our old P4 whilst our P6 is out for maintenance 🚒

April's round up for us at 26! 🚒

Another busy month for us being called out 27 times this month. Our Co-Responder car makes up 13 of these calls responding to CAT1 medical calls in our area. 🚑

With the Amber wildfire warnings over the month we were called out to 3 fires in the open. We also responded to 3 Fire domestics and 2 Road Traffic Collisions this month.

This week our colleagues in the New Forest have been supporting Dorset crews in the Moors Valley Country Park with a wildfire. Last week we were also called to support Hayling Island with a small wildfire.
