🍂 SUMMER MAY BE OVER… BUT THERE’S STILL PLENTY HAPPENING AT FERMANAGH FUN FARM! 🐴🐑🐰
After a very busy summer season welcoming families and visitors to the farm, we’re now turning our focus to some of the other things we love doing throughout the quieter months. 💚
Our work doesn’t stop when the summer season ends — in fact, this is when we get to take our animals, our experiences and our story out into the community.
🐴 ANIMAL VISITS TO NURSING & RESIDENTIAL HOMES
Our animals can visit care homes and community settings, giving residents the opportunity to meet, touch and interact with animals and enjoy a different experience right on their doorstep.
🎃 SCHOOL HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCES
We can bring Halloween fun to schools with an animal-themed experience, making learning and seasonal activities a little different!
🐑 ANIMAL CARE & EDUCATION
We provide opportunities for learners to develop practical animal care skills and gain qualifications, including our CCEA Occupational Studies courses. Adults, local school pupils and home learners all come together and enjoy the practical hands on learning experience.
🎓 GCSE & EDUCATIONAL VISITS
We welcome schools and educational groups for visits and practical learning experiences, linking activities on the farm to learning outside the classroom. Adults and home learners are welcome too.
💚 SHARING OUR SOCIAL ENTERPRISE STORY
We’re also available to visit schools, community groups and organisations to talk about our journey — from starting Fermanagh Fun Farm, rescuing and caring for animals, creating educational opportunities and developing a social enterprise in rural Fermanagh. We have given talks at groups such as the WI, women’s Union & Wednesday Club.
🐾 BRING THE FARM TO YOU!
We can also offer animal experiences for businesses and organisations as part of staff wellbeing, team-building and volunteering initiatives.
🌱 VOLUNTEERING DAYS AT THE FARM
Businesses and groups can spend a day with us, getting involved in practical activities, working together outdoors and supporting our animals and social enterprise.
So while our busy summer visitor season may be coming to an end, Fermanagh Fun Farm continues to work with schools, care homes, community groups, businesses and learners throughout the year.
