Epping Playground Association

Epping Playground Association We are a parent-led charity set up to refurbish the playground at Lower Swaines Recreation Ground.

We want to turn it into a nature-led, playful space for all, helping the community to make the most of the local outdoor space.

Thanks to this lovely resident who has captured the sentiment of so many of us in perfectly.

We’re excited to share that we will be installing Communication Boards in all five playgrounds in Epping in the coming weeks!

With thanks to the , we will be able to supply boards for:
🛝 Lower Swaine’s Playground
🛝 Stonards Hill Playground
🛝 Ivy Chimneys Playground

Communication Boards support any person (young or old) who at any stage may have difficulty being able to communicate or understand.

This may be those with Down Syndrome, our autistic community, those with English as an additional language, children with speech sound disorders such as verbal dyspraxia, those with receptive/expressive language difficulties such as developmental language disorder, those with anxiety around speaking, situational mutism and more.

Epping Playground Association would like to thank the charity for giving us permission to use the artwork for these boards. See www.findingcharliesvoice.ie for more information or to make a donation.

Have you seen our new “Welcome” sign at the entrance to the playground? 🌈💜🌈

We were very excited to get together to raise a glass to the success of this project today. 🍾

A big whoop whoop to these brilliant trustees and everyone in our lovely community that played a part in making this happen.

We’re “out out” tonight picking up Epping Town Council’s Community Award 2023 in recognition of “outstanding contribution to our community”.

We’ll take that! But we couldn’t have done it without your support! Cheers to all of us!

🏅We’re very excited to announce that we’ve been nominated for an Civic Award for TEAM OF THE YEAR!

We’re honoured that local councillors and a member of the public thought of us and put us forward for an award.

We’re so proud of our new playground and it feels wonderful to be recognised for our efforts in building a new playground for our Epping families to enjoy, no matter the result on the night.

Looking forward to this event later this month!
