HANGING BASKETS

You may have noticed that the hanging baskets appeared last week in Epworth.

Given a little time they will bring a lot of colour and added beauty to our town centre.

Thank you to everyone who helped to put them up - your help was much appreciated.

THANK YOU!

A 'BIG' thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Town Meeting held last month.

Councillor Jonathan Whittaker gave a detailed Chairman's Report which highlighted what had happened over the past year.

Feedback was received from several groups within the local community on how they had benefited from a grant from the Council.

There was also an opportunity for residents to raise any concerns they had from within the parish itself.

Guest speakers were Lee Pitcher (MP for Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme), Councillor Caroline Finch (Ward councillor for Axholme Central), and Police Sergeant Will Harrison (Humberside Police), who all gave an informative talk on their role within our community.

This was followed by the presentation of the Community Group Awards for 2026 to Epworth Bowls Club and Epworth Town Colts AFC, who both throughly deserved their awards.

After the meeting had finished many people remained behind to take advantage of the refreshments on offer and have a chat with fellow residents, their councillors, the Police and the local MP.
