Over the years I’ve spent countless hours helping people build their own Little Free Libraries—answering questions, sharing dimensions, explaining weatherproofing techniques, and offering tips to help their projects last for years outdoors.

One of the most common questions I get is, “Do you have plans I can follow?”

Well, now I do.

I’ve created a step-by-step build guide based on the most popular Little Library size we’ve sold. The guide includes:

Visited this little library today and it made me so happy 💙📚

Beautifully decorated by local artist Chloe Farrant, it’s perfectly placed on the green outside Bettys Mead Park with a wonderful group of locals helping to look after it.

This spot means a lot to me personally too — I used to walk my dog Lady here nearly every day when she was young, so it holds many lovely memories, especially since losing her in October.

🚧 New project incoming… and this one’s a special one.

I’ve just picked up the first cut of timber from B&Q to start building a brand new Little Library for a community group over in Kent — while I’m down here in Exeter! 🌍📚

There’s something exciting about this stage… just a stack of cut boards now, but soon it’ll become a place where books are shared, stories are discovered, and the community comes together.

I’ll be sharing the build process as it comes to life — from these first panels to the finished library ready for its new home.

Can’t wait to show you what this one becomes 👀🔨📖

Guess what we finished today? 😍😀

This will be the new library for Hill Barton Vale Little Free Library … but it’s not quite done!

We are so excited that the very talented and absolutely lovely Holly Degavre Design is going to decorate the library for us before it’s installed.

Watch this space - we can’t wait to see what she does 🥰
