Women historically have been sidelined, marginalised, discriminated against and overlooked both in their daily lives, in the historical record and for their contributions across society.
Women’s History Month also identifies the minority groups who face an additional level of discrimination, like women of colour and LGBTQ+ women, and how their contributions have positively impacted society.

Today is the start of Ramadan. Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer for Muslims, the followers of Islam.

Somerset faith and civic leaders visited Plymouth on 28 January to explore the city’s community and cultural connections. The visit included a presentation by the synagogue custodian, followed by an interfaith discussion. The group concluded their visit with an afternoon gathering at Lady Astor’s House on the Hoe.
