📚 books needed! 📚

We are starting to run very low on all children’s books- in particular board books for the tiny ones and bigger picture/short story books.

We are in desperate need for a fresh influx of adult fiction books.

Please no cook books or text books as I haven’t got the space to store them and they aren’t really that popular.

If you are having a sort out and would like to donate some books please either pop them in the library or leave them on my doorstep. I’m at 1 Leworthy Drive, just over from the library.

LOOK WHAT HAS HAPPENED!!!! We have a shiny new and very fabulous library!! 🥹💖

The other one did so well for lasting 6 years out in all weathers- thank you again to Men in Sheds (an Age UK project) for building it. It will now go into retirement on my allotment as a bug hotel.

A massive thank you to Darren Davies from for making our new library.

There’s also a new bench on its way!

Thank you so much to everyone that offered to help with fixing up of the library, we live in a wonderful community.

For anyone new to the area and not familiar with our community library it is situated on the swale on Sandoe Way near the end of Leworthy Drive (EX13WN). It’s stocked full of children’s and adults books for you to either borrow, pass on or keep. Feel free to put your own donations in the library if there is space or leave them in my doorstep- I’m in the yellow house to the right of the library.

📣 Can you help our Little Library? 📣

I think it’s fair to say that our library is looking a bit sorry for itself. It’s lasted nearly 6 years (I know! 6 years!) in all weathers. With the estates expanding it is as popular as ever with all ages.

The bench has finally given up with slats needing replacing and the metal ends painting. The library box needs a paint and some tweaking and the broken hand gel box removed and holes filled. It desperately needs some love and mending. Thankfully it still remains water tight.

Here is the plea part-

🙏 Does anyone have the time and importantly the knowledge on getting our library looking fabulous again?

We have money in the pot but I just need someone who can make it happen. I cannot pay you for your time but you can have that lovely warm fuzzy feeling knowing that you have done a good deed.

The library is still open for business
