🚒 Middlemoor Red Watch crew visited Millbrook Retirement Village ☕
Recently an operational fire crew from Middlemoor Red Watch had the pleasure of attending a coffee morning hosted by Millbrook Retirement Village, where we delivered an educational talk on Home Fire Safety.
With around 60 residents in attendance, Crew Manager Keith Denning provided vital fire safety advice and guidance on a range of important topics, including:
✅ Smoke detection✅ Safe use of domestic appliances✅ Smoking and fire risk
✅ Safe cooking✅ Escape plans and evacuation
✅ Candles✅ Avoiding overloaded sockets and extension leads✅ Hazards from glass objects and mirrors in sunlight✅ Risks associated with emollients and moisturisers✅ Lithium-ion battery safety✅ Safe mobile phone charging
✅ Wheat bags and electric blankets
We’d like to thank Millbrook Retirement Village for their warm welcome and for helping us raise awareness about fire prevention in the home.
