🚨Apprenticeship vacancy alert

Devon County Council is seeking a motivated Materials Engineering Apprentice to join our respected Materials Laboratory team at Rockbeare Hill.

You will have a keen interest in engineering, enjoy problem-solving, and are dedicated to achieving excellent results in both your work and apprenticeship studies.

Civil Engineering is all about creating, improving, maintaining, and protecting the environment in which we live; from ensuring a constant supply of water, to designing, constructing and maintaining roads and bridges. To support the delivery of projects a highways materials laboratory plays a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety and durability of materials used in road construction and maintenance. Through testing and analysis of aggregates, asphalt, concrete and soils, it helps ensure compliance with standards, supports cost-effective decision making, and contributes to the delivery of safe, reliable and long-lasting highway infrastructure.
