Devon County Council Launches £150,000 Levy Transfer Pledge to Boost Apprenticeships in Care and Education. Devon County Council has announced a new Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Pledge, committing £150,000 to support apprenticeship training costs in the Care Services and Education and Childcare sectors across Devon.
This funding aims to help local businesses and organisations invest in apprenticeships without the financial burden, enabling them to grow their workforce and nurture new talent. The pledge is part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to workforce development and improving access to high-quality training opportunities.
“We are encouraging businesses in these sectors to take advantage of this funding,” said a spokesperson from the Apprenticeships & Early Careers team. “By transferring unused levy funds, we can support more employers to train apprentices and strengthen the future of care and education in Devon.”
One employer shared their experience:
“Our apprentice has been a fantastic addition to the team, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm while developing valuable skills. The Levy Transfer has been a huge support, allowing us to invest in their training without financial strain. It’s been a win-win for both our business and our apprentice’s future!”
Businesses interested in applying can find more information and guidance on the Devon County Council Apprenticeship Levy webpage, including a link to apply and a helpful YouTube video explaining the process.
