In 2016, Devon and the UK voted to leave the European Union. That decision should be honoured and respected.

It is incredibly disappointing to see the Lib Dems wanting to take us back into the single market. They are trying to lead us back towards the EU and ignore the decision that our country took.

The Conservatives will respect the result of the referendum and make Brexit a success.

80 years on from D-Day, I’m remembering my late grandfather, Harry Reed. He was an Operation Overlord veteran having served with an airborne unit of the Devonshire Regiment.

Although I have experienced military combat, I find it hard to comprehend the enormity, fear and courage that those involved on D-Day must have felt.

We live in freedom in the UK now because of the actions those brave people took 80 years ago. I will be forever grateful for the sacrifices they made for us.
