📢 Year 6 Parents & Carers – Important Reminder!

If your child is in Year 6, please remember to apply for their secondary school place for September 2027.

📅 The deadline is Saturday 31st October 2026!

📝 Applications must be completed online via the Devon County Council Citizens Portal:
https://oneonline.devon.gov.uk/CCSCitizenPortal_LIVE/en

Please make sure you submit your application before the deadline, even if you are still deciding which secondary school to choose or are considering moving house.

📌 Does your child have an EHCP? Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan follow a different secondary transfer process, so please follow the guidance provided by your SEN team.

Thank you for your support! Please share this reminder with other Year 6 families to help ensure everyone applies on time.

The Citizens Portal allows parents/carers of children, to make applications for school places (including in-year admissions), two year old funding and free school meals.

We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of the Exeter Road Community Primary School family… ERIC!
ERIC stands for Exeter Road Inspires Confidence – and he represents everything we want for our children: the confidence to be themselves, to try new things, to keep going when learning feels tricky and to believe in what they can achieve. 🌟

You might spot Eric around school, joining in with our learning, celebrating our successes or popping up in unexpected places throughout the year! 👀🐻

We’d love our families to join in the fun and keep an eye out for Eric. Where will he appear next? What will he be getting up to? You’ll have to wait and see!

Lynne Foster from the Mothers’ Union came to visit our Reception class. She gave all the children a Teddy Small to keep as a memory of their school journey. Each bear is different. We learnt that all children are different just like the handmade teddies and that difference is both wonderful and lovable! ❤️ We sang songs, listened to a prayer and a story about Joe, a boy who was different.
