The meetings have been cancelled as the required number of committee members will not be available to form a quorum.
The meetings have not been formally convened and no meeting will take place on this date.

Following a report of a landrover type vehicle driving along the river last week, we reported this to the police and Sevenoaks Community Safety Unit. They are following up with the vehicle owner.

Please continue to report any incidents like this to the police or the SDC traffic enfocement. Even if you do not see them at the scene, they can still prosecute offenders from information provided.

LOOKING FOR A NEW FOOTBALL TEAM

We have a vacancy for a regular team to use our new full size grass pitch at Harrow Meadow, Eynsford on Sunday afternoons starting in September. The new pitch has been in use for a year and we have received great feedback. There are also changing rooms available which are currently being refurbished.

We will give priority to women’s teams and youth teams, but are happy to receive expressions of interest from any other local club/side.

Local Government Code of Conduct and Register of Members’ Interests are available for inspection at the Parish Office, Priory Lane, Eynsford at any reasonable time by prior appointment with the Clerk.

N.B. The meeting will adjourn at the discretion of the Chairman in order to receive questions from members of the public for a period of no longer than 30 minutes. The Chairman respectfully requests that questions be restricted to items under discussion, or new matters arising. Queries relating to the progress of issues currently in hand may be raised with the Clerk, in writing or by telephone, during normal working hours.

Emergency Road Closure - Maplescombe Lane, Farningham - 11th August 2026 (Sevenoaks)

It will be necessary to close Maplescombe Lane, Farningham from 11th August 2026 for up to 4 days.

The road will be closed at Maplescombe Farm.

The alternative route is via Maplescombe Lane, Beesfield Lane, A225 Eynsford Road, A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road, Botsom Lane, Maplescombe Lane and reversed.

This is to enable water pipe repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

We have received reports of people riding bikes and motorbikes on Harrow Meadow. Please note our by-law below which prohibits this.

5. i) A person shall not except in the exercise of any lawful right or privilege bring or cause to be brought into the recreation ground any barrow, truck, machine, or vehicle other than:
a) a wheeled bicycle or other similar machine;
b) a wheel-chair or perambulator drawn or propelled by hand and used solely for the conveyance of a child or children or an invalid.

Provided that where the Council set apart a space in the recreation ground for the use of any class of vehicle this byelaw shall not be deemed to prohibit the driving in or on to that space by a direct route from the entrance to the recreation ground of any vehicle of the class for which it is set apart.

ii) A person shall not except in exercise of any lawful right or privilege ride any bicycle or other similar machine in any part of the recreation ground.
