Falkirk Science Festival is returning this May ✨

From Saturday 2 May to Sunday 31 May, we’ll be bringing science to life across Falkirk with a programme packed full of interactive activities, outdoor experiences and hands-on fun.

If you’re curious about how things work, love experimenting or are looking for a family day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

SEPA are developing Scotland’s Flood Risk Management Plans for 2028–2034 and want to hear from you. Visit the SEPA website for more information.

Flooding is a growing challenge for Scotland. As our climate changes, the risk of severe weather and flooding is increasing. We must act now to protect people and places.

We are developing Scotland’s Flood Risk Management Plans for 2028–2034 and we want to hear from you.

SEPA National Flood Risk Assessment
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency’s (SEPA) latest assessment of flood risk shows a sharp rise in number of properties at risk across the country. The Grangemouth Flood Protection Scheme will move into a critical next stage after securing £1.6m of additional funding from the Scottish Government. The funding supplements the £400,000 already agreed by councillors in November 2025 for the project, meaning up to £2 million is now available to support this important next phase of work.
