What a day 26.4mm of rain and 47 lightning
strikes recorded at the weather station dont forget you can see this live every day at www.favershamweather .org of to bed now, work again tomorrow in the rain

10/06/2026

JUST ONE MORE DAY
So what can we say its been wet with 20mm of rain today so far and thunder, lightning and even hailstorms, and things don't improve tomorrow with another wet day to come, maybe not as bad as today, but still wet most of the day

Then, things do look to improve by Friday and over the weekend with drier and warmer weather, but we do have to look at the wider picture
The weather has been varied across Europe, while much of Central Europe has been seeing cool and changeable weather, the same as us
Spain has been enjoying the height of summer for the past few weeks. with Temperatures there have been above 30 °C for around three weeks, and in some places, highs have even approached 40 °C.
Normally, we would be seeing this airflow moving up over us, but like the rest of Europe, this has not been happening, and we have kept an Atlantic airflow, keeping things unsettled and cool

But over the next few days and over the weekend, the heat is slowly making its way Northwards.
By Friday, France will see temperatures rise to around 30 °C. After that, the warm summer air will continue to spread across Central Europe and into the UK
Weather models still differ as to exactly how warm it will be, with some forecasting temperatures of over 25 °C over the weekend, but we are expecting more 21/23C it maybe a higher in places
But we will see direr and generally calmer days, and the sun will make more frequent and longer appearances, and it looks to continue to start next week before a change again to more unsettled weather
