A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the weekend and voted for their favourite apple at this year’s Apple Fair.🍎
THE WINNER IS… Ananas Reinette! 🏆

🥇 Ananas Reinette – This delicious variety praised for it size, crisp, juicy flesh and distinctive, perfumed pineapple flavour. 🍍
🥈 Cornish Aromatic – a classic English apple first recorded in Cornwall in 1813. It’s loved for its crisp texture and rich, aromatic flavour. 🌿
🥉 Pitmaston Pineapple – a charming heritage variety dating back to the late 18th century. Small and golden, this characterful apple is prized for its rich, sweet, honeyed flavour and fragrance. 🍯
🍎🍏🍎Three fantastic varieties, each with its own unique character and flavour! A wonderful reminder of the incredible diversity of apples growing in our orchards.
Did your favourite make the top three? Let us know in the comments! 👇🍏

🍐 What a fantastic weekend celebrating the incredible diversity of pears! We loved welcoming visitors and introducing them to rare varieties they’d never seen or tasted before. The excitement, curiosity and enthusiasm was brilliant to see.

There were plenty of fascinating varieties to discover, but one pear really stole the show… Doctor Stark! The pear everyone was talking about! 🏆🍐

This enormous, beautifully russetted pear was the variety that attracted the most attention—and it’s easy to see why! A truly distinctive pear, with a rich sweetness, incredible juiciness and a lovely lemony acidity.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make Pear Weekend so special. We love sharing the amazing world of fruit diversity with you. 💚
