Speakers will include Cllr Ashley Wise (Deputy Leader of Swale Borough Council), Cllr Karen Watson (former Swale Labour Mayor) and Faversham Labour Councillors. If you are a local Labour supporter or member and are interested in attending please email: [email protected] for further information.

What an amazing year Roman Ward Councillor Karen Watson had as Mayor of Swale.

As she stepped down last night, Karen announced she had raised a total of £17,653.40 for her two mayoral charities, SATEDA and Cancer Research UK, during her year in office.

Congratulations to Cllr Derek Carnell who was last night appointed Mayor for the civic year 2026/27, with Cllr Angela Harrison as his deputy.

Derek's mayoral charities are Cruse Bereavement Support and Prostate Cancer UK.
