Ten years ago today, our beloved friend and colleague, Jo Cox, was murdered. Today we are all thinking of Jo, of her family, friends, and all those who loved her.

Every day, we strive towards creating the world that she believed in, and remember her words:

“We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us".

She was a dedicated mother, a fierce campaigner and a deeply committed Member of Parliament.

Her conviction that we have more in common than that which divides us lives on beyond her death.

We will continue to honour her legacy by standing by her message of hope and unity in the face of hatred and division.

This is sad news. Roy Hattersley, best known for being Neil Kinnock’s deputy leader, shaped the Labour Party and British politics.

He was a giant of our movement and of that generation of politicians. RIP
