A huge thank you to all those that came along to my second bi-monthly South Waterside Wombles
litter pick today 👍

This month’s pick was in Calshot Village, we had 8 volunteers join me and together we collected a fantastic 13 bags of litter from across the village! 🚮🚮
Far too much to fit in my car so I had to call in reinforcements with a second vehicle 🤣

Sadly I didn’t manage to get any photos of the wonderful volunteer group today ☹️ but I did get a nice sunny photo of Tristan Close play park whilst collecting around the close ☺️

Thank you so much to you all 🙏

The next bi-monthly litter pick is in October in Holbury 🗓️

WE MAY NOT HAVE BROUGHT FOOTBALL HOME, BUT WE CAN STILL BRING THE SINGING HOME!

One of the joys of this summer has been hearing thousands of England fans singing together at the top of their voices. Not because they're all brilliant singers (let's be honest, they're not!), but because singing together is fun, uplifting and brings people together.

That's exactly what Sing Happens is all about!

Forget karaoke as you know it. There are no solo performances, no nerves and no judging. At Sing Happens everyone sings together, so whether you sound like Adele or a distressed pigeon, you'll fit right in!

Studies show that singing can reduce stress, boost your mood and improve your mental wellbeing. Add a room full of friendly people, some fantastic rock and pop classics and a drink or two, and you've got all the ingredients for a brilliant night out.

So if you've always wanted to sing karaoke but have never been brave enough, this is for you. If you love singing in the car, the shower or at the football, this is definitely for you!

Jubilee Hall, Fawley
Saturday 1st August
7.30pm
Tickets just £5

No pressure. No solos. No need to sing in tune.

Just turn up, sing loud and remember...sometimes the best things in life happen when Sing Happens!

Yesterday at the Six Villages Festival and Armed Forces Village, I had the pleasure of chatting with so many wonderful stall holders, charities, community groups and clubs. Every one of them is doing incredible work to support and strengthen our local community. ❤️

While visiting the Armed Forces Village I purchased this beautiful paperweight from Dandel;ons Retreat, a local charity supporting those bereaved by su***de. It was a real privilege to speak with Brad about his son, the inspiring work the charity has already achieved, and their hopes and plans for the future.

We are truly fortunate to have so many dedicated people across the Waterside working tirelessly for worthwhile causes, sports and social clubs - plus some great local businesses. Their commitment and hard work make a positive difference to the lives of local residents.

Thank you to everyone who gives their time, energy and heart to our community. ❤️🙏

Some residents may have seen the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team preparing down at the old power station site at Calshot over the last week or so. Here they are in action on the water at Portsmouth, winning the final race of the day on Saturday 🇬🇧⛵️
