We’re replacing water pipes on Long Copse and Newlands Road.
We're investing £100 million a year to reduce leakage. We use a range of techniques including
fixing known leaks, pressure management and installing smart meters.
In your area, we’re doing this by replacing ageing water mains and connections. Some of these
pipes are made of cast iron and other materials. They have been in the ground for up to 100 years,
and despite regular maintenance they are beginning to show their age.
We’ll replace these older pipes with new plastic pipes. This will reduce the risk of bursts,
leaks, water discolouration and interruptions to water supply.
Come and meet the team
We’re holding a drop-in session at Gang Warily, Fawley. Come and meet the team to find out more
about the work we’ll be doing.
Where: Gang Warily Recreation & Community Centre, Newlands Rd, Fawley, SO45 1GA
When: Tuesday 4 August 2026 between 3pm to 6:30pm
Parking: There’s free parking available at the community centre
If you are unable to attend but have a question, please contact Jenny Keirle, Customer Liaison
