I do like trying other people’s cakes and bakes as it give me different flavour combination ideas
It’s also good when you try something you don’t like!! This funfetti blondie was such a bake!! It looked nice but was such a letdown, it didn’t taste like it had seen white chocolate and to be honest tasted more like sweet scrambled eggs!! It also cost £4 a slice
The shortbread was better but was lacking something

Here are all three of today’s loaves
All made with 250g or flour/ flour and oatmeal
It’s interesting that they are all held their shapes well but slightly different textures which is expected as the oatmeal and porridge with make each different
Definitely will make any of these again and I do love an experiment
Next up trying different salts!! I have a pink hibiscus salt I want to test!!

Bread made with all white flour but porridge instead of water
Again this had a beautiful crunchy crust, was slightly denser than experiment 1 but that also have been because I cooked it for a little bit less time as I like that denser texture
This has oats sprinkled on the top instead of pinhead oatmeal and used Maldon sea salt
It’s really tasty and smells so good
Like experiment 1 I would make this again
