Ferring Pillbox located on Pattersons Walk, Ferring West Sussex is a type 26 Pillbox built in 1940 on a concrete platform as part of the coastal crust war defences.

This is the last open day for the 2026 season so if you haven’t visited us yet please come along

PILLBOX OPEN DAY
SUNDAY 30th AUGUST

Ferring Pillbox will be open from 10:30 - 3pm. This restored WWII Pillbox will be set up as it was in 1941 inside and will have the south facing embrasure open. We will also have a display marquee with artifacts, displays and information and an historical talk at 11am
The 2 books Ferring at War part 1 & 2, written by Pete Coe our project lead, will be on sale for £10 each (cash only please)

This is a free event although we do have cash donation buckets
