Ferryhill Town Council is looking to appoint an Environment Operative.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake general horticultural duties which will vary with the time of year and the length of the growing season including the general maintenance of parks and open spaces. The applicant must be flexible as the role involves working at multiple sites belonging to the Town Council. Ferryhill’s Annual Senior Citizens Trip

Tickets for the Ferryhill Senior Citizens Trip, organised by Ferryhill Town Council will go on sale on Monday 15th June 2026. This year, the trip will take place on Thursday 23rd July 2026. The destination for the trip will be South Shields. South Shields was chosen when the results of a questionnaire completed by people attending the 2025 bus trip demonstrated a preference to visit the seaside town in 2026.
