Road Closure, Fishguard, 27th June for the Soap Box Derby

T11 Bus Service 23-24 June 2026

A temporary timetable will operate on the T11 service (Haverfordwest-St Davids-Newgale) next Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th June, due to the resurfacing works at Newgale.

Between 09.00 and 15.30 on both days, there will be no through service between St Davids and Haverfordwest. Services will continue to run on an amended timetable between Fishguard and St Davids and between Haverfordwest and Roch.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, such as vehicles breaking down or emergency road closures, local bus services may sometimes be cancelled, delayed or unable to follow their usual route. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

This weekend, our Deputy Mayor, Cllr Brian Murphy, was honoured to attend the unveiling of a memorial for the SS St Patrick, the ferry between Fishguard and Rosslare which sank 85 years ago on 13th June 1941. The memorial is located by the viewing point overlooking Rosslare Harbour. Cllr Murphy laid a wreath on behalf of Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council, and Cathaoirleach Ger Carthy laid a wreath on behalf of Rosslare Municipal Council.

Are you a community group or resident without a traditional garden? If you have planters, window boxes or hanging baskets then get your entry in.

The judge will visit our towns for this national competition on 9th July. We have been working with our wonderful community groups to prepare for the day but we hope that you can help too. How?

Taking time out of their private holiday to France, our Mayor and Mayoress visited our twinned town of Loctudy and presented them with a bespoke commemorative plate in recognition of 30 years of our towns being twinned. Thank you to Kilner Kreations for a beautiful piece produced from local oak. Cllr Steven Hughes also joined the Mayor of Loctudy, Sylvain Cosnard at a memorial laying a wreath for those killed in the Indo-China war of 1945-54. They had a lovely visit and thank the residents of Loctudy for the warm welcome.
