The Town Council are working again this year with Pembrokeshire County Council and the NHS to test the quality of the bathing water in Goodwick and Lower Town Fishguard.
Here are the latest test results, from 19th August 2026:
Goodwick:

19.08.26 - E.coli – 5 cfu/100ml
Enterococci – 2 cfu/100ml

Lower Town Fishguard:

19.08.26 - E.coli – 17 cfu/100ml
Enterococci – 4 cfu/100ml

These results would be classed as Excellent.

It's the first Tuesday of the month so that means a Full Council meeting for Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The meeting will be in the Town Council meeting room at Fishguard Town Hall, at 7pm For the agenda, click below:

The Full Town Council meeting is held on the first Tuesday of every month, with the exception of August, at 7pm. The Council is in recess in August.

These results would be classified as Excellent.

The Town Council are delighted to fly the flag for the Greening Fishguard & Goodwick Group. Congratulations on being awarded a Green Flag for the 10th year in a row. Our Mayor was delighted to help in the raising of the flag where it will fly on the Parrog for the rest of the season.

Members of the Town Council were pleased to have the opportunity today to visit the new 'Angorfa' housing development by the Co-op in Fishguard, with 12 one-bedroom flats. Thank you to West Wales Housing for showing us around. It was lovely to see the flats which are of a very high standard and in a nice communal setting. We wish the new tenants a warm welcome in their new homes.

The Town Council is still looking to co-opt a Town Councillor for Fishguard North-West ward with the deadline for applications being 17th August, so only a few more days to go. If you are interested in joining the Town Council and would like any more information or an application form then get in touch with the Town Clerk.
