It was wonderful to have heavy horses from Oakwood Clydesdales making hay on Odiham Common earlier this week. 🐎

The use of heavy horses causes less disturbance to wildlife and nature, whilst reducing pollution when compared to fossil-fuelled machinery.

Where appropriate, we employ these traditional methods of land management to support the conservation of working horse breeds, whose long-term survival depends, in part, on having practical working roles. 💚

The bike tracks at Edenbrook Country Park will be closed this evening (27 August) and 10 September, 5.30-6.30pm, for female-only bike riding sessions.

These trial sessions will test the water to see if there is demand for this activity. If you do not own a bike, but wish to take part in these sessions, please let us know if this is preventing you from joining in. Leave a comment below or email at [email protected].

If you're already signed on, we can't wait to see you there! Bookings are now closed for the session tonight. However, there are limited spaces available for 10 September.

☀️ A bank holiday is a great time for a clear out, but did you know that you're responsible for your waste even after it leaves your property?

If you're paying someone to take your waste away, protect yourself from fines and prevent fly-tipping by:

✅ Only using licensed waste carriers (bit.ly/4dHXHN9)
✅ Retain a waste transfer note from the collector (bit.ly/4dYPYvL)
✅ Keep a receipt of proof for your waste transfer.

Don't land yourself a fine thanks to dodgy disposal crews! 🙅 🚫
