Last night we bade a fond farewell to Cdt FS Hayden Davies. Hayden has been a cadet at 2518 Flint Sqn for the last 5 years and we will all miss him very much. He's been an incredible cadet, NCO and mentor for the younger cadets.

Hayden, we wish you all the very best of luck as you begin your career in the Royal Air Force. We have no doubt you will excel in your training and have an amazing career ahead of you.

Please keep in touch and whenever you're ready, we'll have your Service Instructor paperwork ready for you!

Following a successful Wing board interview CI Shaun Gillgrass is now Sergeant Gillgrass. We are incredibly lucky to have another very experienced uniformed member of staff on the Squadron team and wish him well in this next stage of his RAFAC career. Huge congratulations Sgt! 👏🏻🎉🥳

After a rigorous application process I'm delighted to announce the promotion to Corporal of Cdt Harvey Alderman, Cdt Paisley Harper and Cdt Finley Jenkins.

All three have worked extremely hard and fully deserve their new position in the NCO team.

This evening we were incredibly lucky to have a visit from Air Officer Wales, Air Commodore Rob Woods.

Air Commodore Woods chatted to the cadets about their activities, gave them some fantastic advice for the future and introduced them to the exciting sport of orienteering, something he is personally very passionate about.

Thank you again Sir for giving up your time to come and see us, we really do appreciate it.
