๐Ÿš” There's been two arrests in the last 24 ๐Ÿš— 1 for drug driving ๐Ÿก 1 for threats

๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿป 30 Incidents have come over to our system for a write up and 3 have been recorded as crimes (so far)

๐Ÿง Looking at force priorities we've got the domestics above, one hate related incident and no reported burglaries.

โ˜€๏ธ During hot weather we will often see posts online and persons enquiring about dogs left in hot cars ๐Ÿ“ž If you have concerns about a dog left in a hot car, call police. ๐Ÿ‘€ When we attend the first thing we'll look for is signs of distress. If there aren't any we'll use police systems to make enquiries for the vehicle owner. If they are in distress - well someone is going to have a hefty bill for a broken window and face prosecution for causing unnecessary harm. Newer vehicles do have the option to leave air conditioning running!

๐Ÿถ Police dogs are always a subject as well - they are well looked after in air conditioned kennels in the cars, with plenty of breaks. This is year round but in particularly hot weather they will be monitored closely.

๐Ÿ’™ One gent who's not so concerned about his shifts anymore is Retired PD Bart - he's living the dream enjoying the beach and a well deserved spot on the sofa.

๐Ÿš” There's been 5 arrests in the last 24 and 2 still in for breakfast and one in hospital. The shoplifter we posted about yesterday is awaiting a bus to court, and one in for criminal damage from overnight, and the one in hospital is also awaiting a bus to court on a fail to appear warrant.

โ‰๏ธ Why do we say some people are arrested "on warrant" and not others?
๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš–๏ธ Courts issue warrants for persons for things like failing to appear at court or breaches of community orders. These are sent to officers to locate them and bring them to court.
๐Ÿ“š PACE dictates when we can arrest "without warrant" which is a constables power.

๐Ÿถ Last night the Police Cadets spent the night in Mold Custody, experiencing the custody process and the cells - they also raised funds for Paws Off Duty - Retired Police Dog Draco (pictured below) stayed with them. ๐Ÿ’™ Paws off Duty supports retired police dogs of North Wales Police with funding and support for the hard working dogs! Draco has been retired for a couple of years now, and enjoys spending time with the Police Cadets when he's not busy keeping his bed warm.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Following a report from a retail premises this morning of a shoplifting, the suspect was located by officers.

๐Ÿš” Turns out they were no stranger, and had some other offences to answer for!

๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš–๏ธ One arrested for 4 x shoplifting, breach of criminal behaviour order and breach of court order. They'll be remanded and in front of the judge in the morning.

๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ We've had four arrests and four remain in custody. ๐Ÿš” 1 threats to kill ๐Ÿก 2 x domestic related assault ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿปโ€โš–๏ธ 1 for a court warrant.

๐Ÿš” 27 incidents have come over to our system for a write up and 7 have been recorded as crimes (so far)

๐Ÿš’ We are seeing an increase in Arsons across the patch, the majority of which have been by children and teenagers. Please speak with your children about the dangers of setting fires, in the wooded areas they can spread quickly as the weather has been so dry. Some have been set in commercial bins which is a massive risk near buildings and could cause a lot of damage or harm to persons. Those identified will be dealt with robustly.

๐Ÿถ Today it's fan favourite PD Arlo he's teamed up with PD Polly (the pocket rocket) when he's not chasing and biting suspects he enjoys some treats and a belly rub - however I would suggest not doing that without the go ahead from his handler.

R2 have been with you overnight and R4 and NPT are with you today! It's a 24 hour review - it's been a while! So in the last 24 we've had 87 calls for service - 13 of which were Priority 0 ๐Ÿšจ (Attended on Lights & Sirens) of the 87;

๐Ÿก 7 x Domestic Crime Incidents
๐Ÿš‘ 5 x Concern For Safety Incidents
โœ–๏ธ 7 x Anti Social Behaviour Incidents

๐Ÿš” 5 arrests - ๐Ÿ  1 for Domestic related Assault ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿผโ€โš–๏ธ 1 for quite a few offences including public order offences ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€โš–๏ธ 1 breach of DAPO* โœ–๏ธ 1 for sexual offences ๐Ÿš— 1 for drug driving.

๐Ÿ“ฐ DAPO - Domestic Abuse Protection Order, is a civil order similar to a restraining order, police can apply for them on behalf of victims of Domestic Abuse / Violence.

โšฝ While we're on the subject of Domestic Violence, statistic show an increase from 27% - 36% in instances of Domestic Violence during football competitions. The lower end is when they win and the higher when they lose. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ During these competitions we have operations in place to try and tackle this.

๐Ÿ’™ Today it's retired PD Huw, who is supported by Paws Off Duty - the police cadets will be staying overnight in Mold custody to raise funds for the charity and you can check out the fundraiser on their page! Paws Off Duty supports retried police dogs from North Wales Police.

A 44-year-old man who thought he was speaking to young girls online has been jailed.

Tibor Tompos, of Ashfield Road, Shotton, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court for sentencing on 7 July.

He previously admitted to attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity, attempting to cause a child to look at images of sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and making indecent pseudo-photographs of a child.

He was jailed for four years and was made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting for 15 years.
