Week | This week, police forces across the country are shining a light on the dedication, resilience, and bravery of response officers.
No two shifts are the same for response policing officers. The work they do is unpredictable and they need to act quickly to keep people safe and catch criminals.
Earlier this month, Flintshire officers responded to a report a man had been injured by a knife in Connahโs Quay.
After quickly attending the scene at Bethel Place, the Rota 2 response team provided essential first aid to the victim before the suspect was arrested in connection with the offence.
After gathering evidence, a the suspect was subsequently charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in addition to two separate counts of assault and shoplifting.
They were remanded into custody to appear before Mold Crown Court next month.
District Inspector Rob Stevenson said: โAs part of Response Policing Week, we are celebrating the hard work, dedication and resilience of response police officers โ and highlighting the challenging and unpredictable situations they face on a daily basis.
โOfficers in response teams never know what situations theyโll be faced with when they come into work each day. They have to be prepared to deal with a wide range of incidents, including complex and sometimes confrontational situations. No two days are the same, and officers in these roles come from many different backgrounds and work in a variety of environments.
โIt is important to say thank you for their dedicated professionalism and courage and this job was a great example of teamwork and dedication to dealing with an incident robustly and swiftly.โ

Yn gynharach y mis hwn, ymatebodd swyddogion Sir y Fflint i adroddiad bod dyn wedi cael ei anafu gan gyllell yng Nghei Connah.
Ar รดl mynd i'r lleoliad yn gyflym yn Bethel Place, rhoddodd tรฎm ymateb Rota 2 gymorth cyntaf hanfodol i'r dioddefwr cyn i'r person dan amheuaeth gael ei arestio mewn cysylltiad รข'r drosedd.
Ar รดl casglu tystiolaeth, cyhuddwyd y person dan amheuaeth o anafu gyda'r bwriad o achosi niwed corfforol difrifol yn ogystal รข dau gyhuddiad ar wahรขn o ymosod a dwyn o siop.
Cawsant eu cadw yn y ddalfa i ymddangos gerbron Llys y Goron yr Wyddgrug fis nesaf.
Dywedodd yr Arolygydd Ardal Rob Stevenson: "Fel rhan o'r Wythnos Plismona Ymateb, rydym yn dathlu gwaith caled, ymroddiad a gwytnwch swyddogion heddlu ymateb โ ac yn tynnu sylw at y sefyllfaoedd heriol ac anrhagweladwy y maent yn eu hwynebu bob dydd.
"Nid yw swyddogion mewn timau ymateb byth yn gwybod pa sefyllfaoedd y byddant yn eu hwynebu pan fyddant yn dod i'r gwaith bob dydd. Mae'n rhaid iddynt fod yn barod i ddelio ag ystod eang o ddigwyddiadau, gan gynnwys sefyllfaoedd cymhleth ac weithiau, gwrthdaro. Nid oes unrhyw ddau ddiwrnod yr un peth, ac mae swyddogion yn y rolau hyn yn dod o lawer o gefndiroedd gwahanol ac yn gweithio mewn amrywiaeth o amgylcheddau.
"Mae'n bwysig dweud diolch am eu proffesiynoldeb a'u dewrder ymroddedig ac roedd y gwaith hwn yn enghraifft wych o waith tรฎm ac ymroddiad wrth ddelio รข digwyddiad yn gadarn ac yn gyflym."
