🚒 CONGRATULATIONS FIREFIGHTER REED!

👏Please join us in giving a big congratulations to Firefighter Simon Reed, who has officially completed his development portfolio to become a fully competent Firefighter!

Transitioning from a development firefighter requires hours of dedicated practical training, technical study, and continuous assessments to prove operational competency across all firefighting and rescue disciplines. Simon’s commitment to serving our community and keeping the people of Fordingbridge safe is brilliant.

We are very pleased to have him on the station crew. Congratulations, Simon – thoroughly well-deserved! 🎉

We really are very grateful! 🙂🙂🙂

As the incident on the new Forest has come to an end, we thought now would be a good time to say "Thank You" again, to everyone who's responded to the fire by offering gifts and gestures of support.

Over the last couple of weeks we've received a great deal of kind words, and the kitchen counter at Fordingbridge station has been positively well-stocked with goodies, thanks to all of you, it's been rather enjoyable.

Thank you to Fordingbridge Care Home (Allegra Care) for the absolutely lovely hamper of gifts! Thank you to Jeanine, Luca, and Austin for the delicious home-made cupcakes, snacks and expertly coloured drawings! Thank you to Jackie for the lovely hamper of home-made cakes. Thank you to Precision Fuel and Hydration () for the bounty of excellent fuel and re-hydration products (a lifesaver in the heat). Thank you to ICES for the delicious ice creams! Thank you to all of the local businesses who've offered hospitality, and... thank you to the people who toot and wave on the way past the station, stop for a chat, and share their support on social media.

A big thank you to our local community! 🙏

It’s been a flat-out few weeks at Fordingbridge station. Between the heatwave and the rise in wildfires, the team has been out non-stop working alongside stations from across the county.

Through all the long shifts, the community support has been incredible. People have kindly taken the time to drop off refreshments, goodies, and encouragement to keep us going. 🍪🧁🥤

🌟A special shoutout to Tori and Simon Hunter for the essential drinks and hydration from Precision Fuel & Hydration, Callum Dedman for the post-shift pick-me-ups, and today’s anonymous donor for the hamper of sweet treats and kind words.

🚒 Congratulations on a remarkable milestone

This month marks 42 years of service for Fordingbridge Firefighter Paul Dorrington — over four decades of commitment to the fire service and the local community.

During his time at Fordingbridge, Paul has attended some of the station’s most significant incidents and medical emergencies, played an active role in numerous charity events through the service, raised substantial funds for good causes, received many a commendation, and has taken pride in seeing his son join and grow within the job.

Forty-two years of responding to calls without hesitation — day or night, weekday or weekend, Christmas Day or Sunday lunch. The missed plans, interrupted meals, long nights in difficult conditions and everything else that comes with the role are all part of a service Paul has consistently delivered without fuss.

From all of us at Fordingbridge Fire Station, thank you, Paul, and congratulations on reaching this outstanding milestone. 🚒

Wilton Crew were mobilised twice on Sunday evening.

A crew of six were sent to assist Salisbury Fire Station with a call that came in for alarms off of St. Ann Street, luckily this turned out to be a false alarm with good intent.

A crew of two were mobilised in the Water Carrier to a vehicle fire near Redlynch, this time assisting Fordingbridge Fire Station

Both trucks were back on station at 21:45, washed and ready for next call.
