Pilot Officer John D Crossman Memorial There is a minute's silence held at his memorial on 30 September each year at 12.30pm which is when his Hurricane Fighter was shot down.

The Pilot Officer John D Crossman Memorial was erected in memory of the 22 year old Australian pilot who was shot down and crashed at Tablehurst Farm, Forest Row on 30 September 1940. Pilot Officer John D Corssman, RAF Volunteer from Australia, was shot down and killed while engaging enemy aircraft during the Battle of Britain. 'Lest we forget" RIP

A memorial to Pilot Officer Crossman can be found on the grounds of Tablehurst Farm, Forest Row.
