At 3:49pm on Monday 22nd June 2026, MIRO Crew were paged by HM Coastguard following the report of a yacht having lost power near to Lossiemouth Harbour that required towed back to the marina.
Crew immediately attended and MIRO Rescue was launched and made best speed towards the reported location of the casualty vessel.
A nearby yacht responded to the Coastguard Pan Pan call on the radio for assistance and assisted by towing it back to Lossiemouth.
MIRO Rescue was subsequently stood down as it was passing Burghead and returned to Findhorn where it was refuelled and made ready.
