🚧 Yate Spur project update.

From 21 to 25 October, a section of Westerleigh Road and Shire Way will be closed in both directions overnight (8pm to 6am) between the Rodford Way/Road to Nowhere roundabout and the mini-roundabout near the viaduct.

From 21 October, temporary traffic management will also change on this section of road. Southbound traffic will remain open using the opposite carriageway, while northbound traffic will continue to follow the existing diversion via Shire Way and Brockworth.

Thank you for your patience while we improve walking, wheeling and cycling links between Yate, Westerleigh and surrounding communities.

Half Term Tree Time - Kids Nature Event!
Date: Wednesday 28th October.

Location: Centenary Field (Mill Lane, behind the Globe Pub).

Have a tree-mendous half term...!

Local families and kids are invited to our hands on tree event this half term!

Join our brilliant volunteers to learn how to identify different types of trees, hunt for the bugs who make local trees their home, do nature crafts like bark and leaf rubbing, go on a Tree Trail… and more!

This nature session is free to attend and no booking is required – just show up!

Frampton Cotterell Repair Café + Upcycling Christmas Crafts + Willow Weaving with Alain + the Crafter's Corner.
Date: Saturday 7th November.
Time: 11AM - 1PM.
Location: The Royal British Legion (Frampton Cotterell & Coalpit Heath RBL Club), Frampton Cotterell, BS36 2HW.

Bring your broken bikes, clothes, electrical items, woodwork pieces & more to get fixed by our handy volunteers!

At our November Repair Cafe, we will also have a Christmas Crafts special event - come along to upcycle your own eco-friendly Christmas decorations!

Plus, you can learn the art of willow weaving and how to make your own Christmas ornaments with our talented repairer Alain.

You are also welcome to drop in at the Crafter's Corner for some community crafting and chat, plus a haberdashery and fabric swap.

Our Repair Cafes are always free and everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be available to purchase from The Royal British Legion, so bring cash if you fancy a cuppa or a snack!

Donations are always very gratefully accepted, and help us to keep the Repair Cafe going 🙂
