When we moved in, back in Dec 2010, I had no idea I would end up researching the story of The Brock Family of Freethorpe, and this pretty house 'The Old Post Office' here in Freethorpe, Norfolk.

Charles John Brock 1851 - 1926

Freethorpe, Norfolk, U.K.

I have posted this chart separately because I am not sure it was readable before.

This is really happening, we have a banner image now, and even a few followers ❤️ I think today has been a good day.

Its quite simple when you see it written down, there are three Charles Brock's in this story and this is where if you are not fully keeping track it becomes easy to get a little muddled up.

1. Charles James Brock 1824 - 1874 & Sarah Ann Harris 1825 - 1915

2. Charles John Brock 1851 - 1926 & Elizabeth Nicholls 1852 - 1945

3. Charles James Brock 1878 - 1956 & Anna Carter 1879 - 1971

I am working with the documents at the Norfolk Records Office, The Kelly's Directories , The Whites Directories, And Old Newspapers along side the Birth, Marriage and Death records, Probate Records, Wills, and all the time keeping the family stories in mind. I have found with my own family history research, our family stories were for the most part true, often a little jumbled, sometimes omitting facts that might have proved a little difficult or info that was used to infill where a gap couldn't be explained.
I think its wonderful when the records and the family stories come together and a family line is celebrated.
